The Yellow Dragon - Worldy Desires
On the journey to the Golden Summit at Mt. Wudang, travelers pass through three Heavenly Gates and encounter secluded temples and caves along the way. Upon reaching the Yellow Dragon Cave, Ismet Himmet introduces the symbolism of the Yellow Dragon, which represents worldly habits and desires. This dragon, the third among the five dragons, symbolizes the earth element and is yellow in color.
Conquering the Yellow Dragon signifies overcoming societal moral expectations and social conditioning, allowing one to be free from external control. This victory enables an individual to live life according to their own wishes rather than the expectations of others, just as Zhen Wu did at the start of his cultivation.
